2017 John C. Donehoo Essay Award

2017 John C. Donehoo Essay Award presented to Mr. Rob Mitchell by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) for his essay entitled “Proposed Model For Adequate Funding of Property Assessor’s Offices in Tennessee”. Mr. Mitchell is only the 5th Tennessean to receive this award. Named after John C. Donehoo, IAAO’s first president, the award is presented each year to the author(s) of an outstanding non-technical essay on assessment, property tax administration or tax policy. The award states:
